GOSHEN WINS WILD TOLEDO 150

May 25th, 2010 --
When the CASCOR Super Car Series returned to Toledo Speedway, no one could’ve expected the type of race that it turned out to be.

Frankie Stickley and Brent Sweet led the field to the green flag. The race would go caution free until lap 14 for a self spin by Auz Grams.

Brent Sweet would lead the majority of the field down pit road while Frankie Stickley and Will Goshen stayed out on the racing surface.

Many cautions would slow the race and once again produced a wild finish in the closing laps. Auz Grams led the field back to green with 6 laps to go to settle it. Grams would get loose off of turn 2 with two laps to go, making Cory Spencer dive inside of Grams to attempt to take over the lead. Grams would spin into the outside wall in turn 3 and fall to a 4th place finish.

CASCOR Officials deemed Cory Spencer caused the caution and would be pushed back to the last car on the lead lap, instead of the win.

As a result Will Goshen was deemed the winner of the Toledo 150. Tyler Tucker finishes 2nd, Ben Althen 3rd, Auz Grams 4th and Andrew Hayes rounded out the top 5.

While Mike Husby once again had connection issues, Tyler Tucker would gain 35 points on point’s leader, Husby. Now only 30 points back of the lead Tucker looks to try to take back the point lead.

The Super Car Series returns to action at the Pocono Raceway for the Pocono 125 June 7th, 2010! Don’t Miss it!
